St. Patty’s Day Dinner
Green eggs and Ham Breakfast
In 1st grade the kids get to invite their parents to a “Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast”. They all get a Cat in the Hat hat and we enjoy some green eggs and ham. Olivia accessorized her hat, notice the headband. Such a fashionista!
Disneyland!
In January we decided to take the family to Disneyland. The kids were stoked. I ordered the free DVD and kids watched it over and over planning what rides they would go on. They also made a chain to count down until we went.
On the plane. This is the kids first plane ride that they can actually remember. It went pretty smoothly until Cody had to go to the bathroom. He refused to use the plane’s toilet but insisted on washing his hands and had a fit. It’s a good thing he can hold it awhile!
It was 19 degrees when we left Vancouver. When we got to CA it was way warmer, and the sun was out. We went strait to California adventure and had lunch then rode Soar’n over California. Then we went back to our hotel to get bundled up for the evening. It got down to 32! It was record breaking weather for CA. It was snowing in some cities. Ok for Vancouver, but not if you are riding roller coasters! We had breakfast for dinner at Denny’s then went to see the World of Color. It was awesome. We did have to leave a little early because it was standing room only and the boys had to be held so they could see it and I can only hold Cody for so long. He is HEAVY!
Toy Story’s Midway games. This was a family favorite. I totally smoked Casey for 3 days! The last day he beat me.
Getting a little rest.
A forced picture of the girls.
So on Sunday we went to get some lunch and we heard them announcing they would be doing the Jedi training academy in 10 min. some people were already waiting. We decided to check it out, we didn’t know what it was. When they started they called some kids up to train, they didn’t call ours at first and Casey wanted to leave. Then they called Nathan then Olivia up. It was pretty fun they showed them some move. Then suddenly some storm troopers come running in and the stage starts lifting up. Out of the fog walks Darth Vader! Nathan just stood there with his mouth open! He was so excited! Then each kid got to fight either Darth Vader or Darth Mal individually. The Star Tours ride was being updated so we didn’t get to ride it, but this totally made up for it!
Brooklyn flexing her muscles in toontown.

On Monday it was defiantly warmer, and we could even wear shorts! Wednesday was the perfect temperature.
Toontown. This is where I got claustrophobic waiting for the Rodger Rabbit ride for 45 mins, upon reaching the front of the line we were told it wasn’t working anymore! We got fast passes the next day and were not impressed!
Some very cute but very expensive toys we found in California Adventure.
The girls got to meet 3 fairies. Brooklyn was happy to meet them, but Olivia (who is actually the bigger fan of the fairies) was very shy. I had to walk her up to them and then go back and take the picture.
Breakfast in the Seringeti. Our hotel had a very yummy breakfast and we enjoyed eating in the jungle complete with an animatronic lion every morning.
Casey took the kids on Grizzly River run while I waited with Cody. While I waited Olivia put me in charge of her new disneyland hat and somehow it got lost. We checked lost and found multiple times and it never turned up, so we had to get a new one the next day.
Then we went over to the Adventure Park. It was very fun! The kids loved climbing the rock wall and running across the robe net bridges. Nathan did get lost at one point in here…some much for a perfect record.
Disneyland cont.2
I took the kids on some rides while Casey got in line for the Toy story ride with Cody. We got done first and got in a line to meet Woody. I saw Casey just getting on the ride and hoped he would make it out in time so Cody could meet Woody. I let a couple people go ahead of me to buy some time. When the got out I called them over and as soon as Cody saw Woody he was in a dead sprint! He rad strait up to him and gave him a big bear hug! It was sooo cute! He was just smiling giving them high fives! Olivia was with us but was to shy to get any closer to them.
Then we went over to California Scream’n. Brooklyn, Olivia, Nathan and I had already been on it 2 days before. I knew Nathan was probably close to the height requirement but no one checked that day. But the next day they did check and he was just half an inch to short. He was pretty bummed. So this day we put some rolled up gloves in his socks and they checked him and he was just right! The three kids LOVED this roller coaster!
Casey had the idea of seeing the Aladdin show. It was sooo fun! The kids were cracking up over the Genie's jokes and still tell them now that we are home.
