Our Family

Casey and I have been married over 12 years! Casey still loves to cheer on his BYU Cougars and the Utah Jazz and I have time I love to squeeze in my Photography and running. These are some snap shots of our busy life with our 4 children. 2 girls and 2 boys!

Life

After a long month and a half of sickness I'm finally catching up with life. In the last two days Casey and I have finally been able to do some much needed spring cleaning and organizing at our house. I finally have the energy to do it. I am so lucky to have awesome family and friends who helped me out so much! The second week in March I got what was probably the H1N1 flu and had a fever for a week and just felt crappy for another week. My mom and Callie watched the kids and helped around the house so much! The 3rd week I thought I was getting better but still felt so "winded" doing just normal things. I went to play volleyball with the ward the 1st of April and after one round I had to sit out a couple games because I couldn't catch my breath. I just thought I was out of shape from the sickness. (Although I had been training for a half marathon prior to getting sick...) Then on Monday, April 5th my rib started killing me like some one had seriously punched me there! I could hardly move! And by that night I was shaking, had the chills and a fever. All the while Heidi was in town and every one was over for Nathan's birthday party.
I thought my rib was out so a chiropractor friend came over and checked it and recommended I see a doctor in the morning. That night I also woke up a 2 with my legs and arms completely covered in hives. It felt like fire ants all over my body! In the morning Callie took me to the doctor and after a chest x-ray I found out I had pneumonia and had also cracked my rib from coughing. (What strong lungs I have!...)
So I realized that my race was totally out of the question and that it was going to be at least a month before started to feel normal.
Callie was awesome and totally took care of everything, and I had wonderful friends bring me some meals. I have a greater appreciation for health and I want to be more helpful when others are sick. Because being sick is SO lame !!!!

Jacob had H1N1 in October, and started into a chest infection after one day. He got on the Tamiflu and an antibiotic right away, so he didn't get too bad. I'm glad that you didn't end up in the hospital! I hope the rest of your family stays healthy.

Wow. I am so sorry you were so sick and hurt. I have never been that sick for that long (except pregnancy--NOT the same). I'm SO glad you are finally feeling better.
