Nathan just started basketball for the first time. He has tried soccer twice, and didn’t really enjoy it. In fact we usually had to fight him to get dressed for soccer. So we thought we would try basketball instead. He got his basketball gear for Christmas and was so excited that he had LeBron Nike shoes. He doesn’t know who that is but he really liked the sound of it. He is so excited to play. No fighting to get ready and he is totally engaged the whole time. He is still Nathan and has a hard time listening to the coach sometimes during practice, but at the games he is always where he should be and gets so excited when his team makes a basket. In his first game he even made two himself! I’m also liking the indoors part of it too, no rain!
Nathan making his second basket.
On a side note Cody also had his own event that night. He and Olivia thought it was fun to run out the doors and then come back. The walls next to the doors is made of glass, so you can see through it. I scolded Olivia, but Cody wanted to do it one more time. He started running for the door, but misjudged where the door was and headed right for the glass wall. I saw it all happening, but he was running at full speed and I couldn’t make it there in time. He ran strait into the wall then fell on his back. It was like watching a bird crash into a window! So sad, but kind of funny to actually see. He already had a goose egg on his forehead from falling on the cement floor at Home depot 2 days earlier and now he had one on top of that! The next day he had two black eyes! My boys are always getting hurt!
