Utah 2009 cont.

After all our fun with the Baldwins, we headed north to Heidi's house. We arrived on Sunday for Avin's blessing. My mom and dad were there, Callie and Brandon and family, and Ashley and Baylor (Logan couldn't make it). It was so nice. Nathan was so excited to finally be at Cohen's house! He had been asking to go there for months! Avin is gorgeous and so is Heidi and I got to take a few pics of them for practice. I put others on my photo blog.

Monday morning ALL the men flew off to Washington. Dad, Casey, and Brandon had to work, and Ryan didn't want to be stuck in a house full of women and children. We spent the week shopping, going to the water park, Hill Air force museum, and playing out back on the water slide and feeding Heidi's chickens. It was pretty wild but oh so fun! I hope Heidi has recovered! Thank you Thank you!!!

Then on Friday morning we all headed north to McCall, ID for my mom's family reunion. The guys were leaving from WA also and met us there. I drove with just my kids. It was pretty uneventful. We stopped in Boise and walked around the temple. Then continued to McCall. Going through the mountains I passed mom and Callie pulled over, Evelyn was throwing up for the 3rd time! We all made it though. McCall is such a beautiful town. The cute little house my parents stayed in "The Lake House" was right on the lake. So we just stayed there all day and rode the wave runner and visited with my grandma and grandpa. I'm so glad I still get to see my cousins and keep up with them! We should have stayed another day or two, the lake and town are so gorgeous and we didn't even have time to really go into town...The kids has blast with their 2nd cousins. I am so thankful for my wonderful grandparents who make it possible for us to always get together, and for the whole family supporting it. I have always anticipated the reunions, and I am so glad that everyone still comes!

Utah 2009!

On July 19th we started our much anticitpated trip to Utah. This is our big trip of the year. We started early and drove all the way. We stoped at Heidi's house and got a sneek peek at Avin, then continued down to Orem. We woke early on Monday and headed to Lagoon! The kids were so excited, especially Brooklyn. She had grown enough that she could ride the Rocket this year. She is quite the daredevil. She would ride anything she was tall enough for. Nathan and Olivia loved kiddie land, and talked me into going on the "music ride". I didn't quite feel the same after that. We took Casey's sister Haley's daughter Ivy left Cody with Haley. It was fun getting to know Ivy since we only get to see her a couple times a year.

We had Movie Night at Haley and Tyler's. They put up a big sheet and we watched the Incredibles on a projector. We enjoyed a barbque, popcorn and licorice.

We made a trip the the "Sweets" candy factory, and got to see how they make candy. Of course we had to load up on salt water taffy. (Cody was not a big fan of the hair net. He stressed out our tour guide.)

We hit a fun water park by Haley's house. Cody had a blast! It was like a stream with rocks that sqirt water.

We went down to Beaver, UT on the 24th for their Pioneer Day celebrations. The kids really understand what to do when people throw candy during the parade. The kids ran in the foot races. It was perfect weather! A little overcast and in the low 80's. Yay! We went up to the mountains to 3 creeks and took a dip, then went to a camp site and had hot dogs and watermellon. Cody went to town on the watermellon (with alittle dirt!).

Pumpkin Patch

It was Olivia's turn to go with her pre-school to the Pumpkin Patch. She was so excited! She remembered that when Brooklyn went we packed lunches and ate at the picnic tables. So she helped me pack everyone a lunch. At the end of the trip she got all settled at a table and was ready for a picnic. The problem was that nobody else was staying for lunch. I felt so bad. I told her we could go get frostys at Wendy's instead and she took it well.

Nathan came along with us. This is ALL he cared about. TRACTORS. He was very upset that we had to look at the animals first. Then he went from tractor to tractor and was so busy he wouldn't even look up when he said "cheese".
