We look forward to this every October. Every year my parents invite the whole family over for a Pumpkin Party. We enjoy a yummy dinner in the barn with apple cider and doughnuts. The usual is Chili, but still keeping with the bean theme, Mom did bean dip. So good, with guacamole and sour cream! Then we carve some pumpkins. As the grandkids are getting older we’ve had to really plan what day to do it because life is getting very busy! This year we did it on the 13th right after Olivia’s birthday party and Olivia and Brooklyn’s soccer practice. Mom and Dad did a great job decorating the barn and the kids all had a blast! (We did have to use store-bought pumpkins because of the super wet spring mom and dad’s pumpkins did not do well). Fun pictures from that night:
The boys showing us how strong they are!
Not exactly the 3 people you want to see behind a motorized vehicle.
Baylor worked really hard, moving all around, to find the best way to eat his doughnut without his hands and this is what he came up with…until he started to get the hay in his mouth.
The always happy Wesley.
1…2…3…JUMP!!! Cody and Baylor LOVE to hug each other every time they meet! When Balyor walked in Cody set down his dinner plate (a very big deal for him) a ran up to give Baylor this hug. He was so excited!
This year Logan ordered a fancy carving knife that had interchangeable blades. Looks like it works really well, his is the Elvis pumpkin. Very Nice!
